The neighborhood is being built by Pardee Homes, a member of the TRI Pointe Group family of homebuilders, based off the detailed feedback, design, and architectural elements from its Millennial-targeted concept home, the Responsive Home, also located in Inspirada. TRI Pointe Group unveiled the Responsive Home at the 2016 NAHB International Builders' Show (IBS) with positive feedback from hundreds of people who toured the home. With today's young home buyer as the inspiration behind the design, Pardee Homes, in partnership with BUILDER Magazine, produced the Responsive Home utilizing strategic consumer research performed by Ketchum Global Research and Analytics. Ketchum's data showed that Millennials are interested in maximizing space, affordability, and personalization while maintaining a level of community typically found in urban environments.

Armed with Ketchum's findings, architect Bassenian Lagoni, landscape architects AndersonBaron, and celebrity creative director Bobby Berk, a Millennial himself, were brought on as part of the all-star development team in order to help create the Responsive Home and deliver youthful, show-stopping designs blended with sustainable living.
Following the well-received Responsive Home, Pardee's next opportunity was to refine the concept home for a production home neighborhood at Strada.
Similar to many elements offered in the Responsive Home, the new homes at Strada offer evolution-over-time floorplans that can be tailored to homeowners' needs at all stages of life. Designed to be flexible as homeowners' needs change, the floorplans are coupled with authentic, functional, and aesthetically-beautiful spaces that complete the homes' interior and exterior design. Each floorplan blends livability with modern functionality, catering to the most important request of the younger buyers surveyed - more space, specifically outdoors.

The winners for the 2016 "Best Places to Work in Orange County" have been announced this week in the Orange County Business Journal with several Building Industry Association of Southern California, Inc. (BIASC) members making rank on the list.
Best Places to Work in Orange County is a survey competition to determine which participants are the best employers. The process is managed by Best Companies Group (BCG), an independent research firm specializing in identifying and recognizing great places to work, and winners are published in the Orange County Business Journal. BCG manages programs worldwide, including the US, Canada and the UK.
BIASC members MBK Homes; Murow CM; Crummack Huseby Property Management, Inc.; and Danielian Associates Architecture + Planning won in the Small Employer Category (15 - 49 U.S. Employees). Haskell & White LLP; Newmeyer & Dillion, LLP; and MBK Homes won in the Medium Employer Category (50 - 249 U.S. Employees), while The New Home Company; TRI Pointe Group; Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP; Moss Adams LLP; and Cresa all won in the Large Employer Category (250 or More U.S. Employees).

A Los Angeles Chapter of HomeAid America, a national non-profit provider of housing for homeless families and individuals for 27 years, has been established in partnership with the Building Industry Association of Southern California—Los Angeles/Ventura Chapter (BIA –LAV), with whom HomeAid LA will share offices. BIA-LAV CEO Tim Piasky agrees the timing is good.
"There is a great need to address now the rising homeless population in L.A., and the building industry wants to give back to our community by doing what we do best: build housing. We are proud to support HomeAid LA and look forward to uniting our efforts to build housing for care providers helping those experiencing homelessness in our region," he says.
It is estimated that 50,000 people are living on the streets of Los Angeles. The mayor recently declared a state of emergency, and the city government continues to pursue various approaches to try to stem the tide. This makes it an opportune time for the building industry's leading charity fighting homelessness to join the effort.
