IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – November 12, 2018 – Fuscoe Engineering, Inc., an Irvine-based civil engineering firm, celebrated its 25th year with a campaign of 25 Acts of Giving in lieu of an anniversary party.

 

Throughout the year, employees from Fuscoe Engineering’s Irvine, San Diego, Ontario, Los Angeles, El Centro and San Ramon offices contributed their time and effort to benefit 25 charitable organizations. Fuscoe Engineering’s brand, full circle thinking® serves to remind staff of their commitment to support local communities. To encourage participation during the work week, Fuscoe Engineering compensated employees for volunteer time.

 

In total, Fuscoe’s employees volunteered over 700 hours of time. Fuscoe’s staff participated in such diverse events as the La Jolla Shores Beach Clean-up, furniture set up for HomeAid LA/WomenShelter of Long Beach, food packaging/pantry stocking for Second Harvest Food Bank and Inland Hope Partners Food Bank, butterfly garden planting for Orange County Parks & Rec, and HomeAid OC Family CareCenter’s Spectacular Saturday Night.

 

Education is a high priority for the Fuscoe team, who participated in Career Day at Herbert Hoover Middle School and STEAM Classrooms at Heroes Elementary School, Child Creativity Lab and Edward B. Cole Elementary School. Participants in various Fuscoe offices also served food to the needy and homeless at the Los Angeles Midnight Mission, Costa Mesa Senior Center, LA Kitchen and Father Joe’s Villages.

 

Fuscoe team members contributed to various drives throughout the year, including the Families Forward Back to School Drive, Koinonia Foster Kids holiday gift drive, HomeAid Essentials/Builders for Babies diaper drive and Working Wardrobes clothing drive. Others attended fundraisers such as the Challenger Baseball & Outcast Grill Dine Out fundraiser in San Diego. In addition, Fuscoe donated canned food to CANstruction for the Orange County Food Bank and held food drives during the year for Mama’s Kitchen, Military Families Camp Pendleton, LA Regional Food Bank, Food Bank of Contra Costa and Inland Valley Hope Partners.

 

Red Nose Day was a fun office event benefitting the Help Walgreens End Child Poverty organization and there is an ongoing soda tab collection for Ronald McDonald House. Charitable walk events were also quite popular and included a 5K Walk for Kids for Ronald McDonald House and a March for Meals 5K Charity Walk for Meals On Wheels.
